AHMEDABAD: Post-party merrymaking turned gory for a group of four youths who were returning from a venue way past Saturday midnight.
The incident took place at 1 am on Sunday close to Chharodi village near SG Highway when a car and truck collided. Darshan Soni, 26, died in the accident while the other three Jignesh Soni, Ashish Dasani and another unidentified youth were grievously injured.

A complaint has been registered at Sarkhej police station.
According to police, the mishap occurred when the group was headed home in a Hyundai Verna car. The four-wheeler rammed the rear of a truck which was headed towards Ahmedabad as well.
After the jolt, the truck stopped and so did other vehicles passing by the same road. Passers-by called 108 emergency ambulance service and the youths were taken to Sola Civil Hospital.
The trio was later shifted to Sterling Hospital by family members. "We have not been able to interact with the victims' family as none of the three have regained consciousness yet. Preliminary information suggests that they had gone for a party somewhere and were returning home," said a Sarkhej police station official.
