AHMEDABAD: A resident of Sabarmati area of the city on Tuesday filed a complaint with city police stating that burglars broke into his house and fled with
ornaments
, cash, car and a cellphone with total worth of Rs 7.50 lakh when he along with his family had gone to Gir-Somnath district between Monday and Tuesday.
The complainant Ashish Kedari (42), who works in movers and packers' business and also drives a cab, stated that he had locked his house, which is located at Tejas apartment in Sabarmati, on Monday as they left for Gir-Somnath. On the next day, Kedari got a call from his neighbour who informed him that his house was burgled.
When Kedari reached his home on Monday night, he found his house was ransacked and ornaments worth Rs 5.20 lakh, Rs 40,500 cash, a car worth Rs 1.88 lakh and a cellphone worth Rs 7000 had been stolen from his house.
