AHMEDABAD: A Gandhinagar court furthered its proceedings on Friday under its inquiry on a complaint filed by Mehsana's PAAS convener, Narendra Patel, with regard to allegations against BJP leaders of offering him a bribe of Rs 1 crore and criminal intimidation to join the party.Complainant's witness Sarthak Patel's statement was recorded by the court. He told the court how he went along with Narendra Patel and met former PAAS leader Varun Patel in the morning, and from there they went to meet BJP's Gujarat president Jitu Va ghani.

The par ty chief took them to BJP headquarters, where he threatened as well as tried to further told the court bribe them. He further told the court that after they talked to Vaghani, Varun came to them and gave money to Narendra. The court also recorded complainant's statement, in which he narrated what happened and why he chose to file a complaint against Vaghani, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Rutvij Patel, BJP spokesman Bharat Pandya, a former member of the Patidar outfit Mahesh Patel as well as Varun Patel.
The court has posted further proceeding on November 21, when Narendra is expected to present another witness to the court besides submitting evidence in form of Rs 10 lakh cash that he allegedly received and an audio clip.
