Brawl over garden waste

Ahmedabad: Two families got into a brawl over the issue of dry leaves piling up and filed complaints at Ghatlodia police station on Friday.
The first complaint was filed by Kinnari Sarvaiya, 42, a resident of Babunagar, who has planted several trees in a plot near their house. Her neighbour Ramesh Desai had earlier picked up a fight with her over dry leaves falling into their courtyard.
On Wednesday night, the Sarvaiyas found a mound of dry waste in front of their house and confronted Desai. Enraged, Desai and his family members allegedly attacked Kinnari Sarvaiya and five of her family members with sticks, injuring three people. TNN
