AHMEDABAD: After Atal Sandesh yatras, the Bharatiya Janata Party has launched the second phase of its poll campaign called ''Vijay Viswas'' (confident of victory) conventions to apprise voters of achievements of the NDA government at the Centre and the Modi government in Gujarat.
Almost all senior ministers have fanned out in different districts to address the party workers.
Law minister Ashok Bhatt has addressed conventions in Banaskantha and Patan districts, urban development minister IK Jadeja is incharge of meetings in Saurashtra and water supply minister Narottam Patel is looking after South Gujarat.
A spokesman of the party told TNN that ''Vijay Viswas'' conventions would be organised at 17 places covering all the 26 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.
Senior ministers and leaders have adressed conventions in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Nadiad, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Mehsana and Banaskantha districts till date.
"We have told taluka and district-level workers the points they should lay stress on while highlighting achievements of the central and state governments," said Bhatt on return from a tour of North Gujarat.
He claimed that development works taken up by the Vajpayee and the Modi governments had created a good impact on voters which was reflected in the meeting he addressed in Banaskantha.
State BJP president Rajendrasinh Rana said: "We have assigned duties to all booth-level workers."
