Bilal remanded in judicial custody

vadodara: haji bilal, one of the main accused in the train carnage in godhra on february 27, has been remanded in judicial custody and sent to the central jail here at the expiry of his 14 days police remand. bilal and another accused, razak, were produced at the railway magistrate court of p joshi at godhra on monday, who remanded then in judicial custody.earlier 18 others accused, including president of the godhra nagarpalika mohammed hussain kalota and councillors salim shaikh and dhantia, were remanded in judicial custody and sent to the sabarmati jail in ahmedabad at the expiry of their police remand on march 30. so far 64 persons have been arrested in connection with the carnage, while police are still in search of another councillor, farukh bhana, in connection with the incident.
