Ahmedabad: A 28-year-old man died due to injuries in an
accident when he hit a stray cow that suddenly came into his way while he was riding a motorcycle during the early hours on Monday on the Anand-Kheda highway.
Nadiad Rural police registered a complaint of causing
death by negligence and rash driving against the deceased, Sunil Parmar.
Alpesh Parmar, a friend of Sunil Parmar, said in his FIR with Nadiad Rural police that he and Sunil worked with a private firm in Kheda and used to commute on Sunil's motorcycle.
At around 1.30am on Monday, Alpesh and Sunil left their workplace on Sunil's motorcycle. When they were passing through Dabhan village, a stray cow suddenly ran across the road and came in front of the motorcycle.
Sunil could not control the vehicle and hit the stray cow, causing both Alpesh and Sunil to be flung into the air and land on the road.
Sunil suffered severe head injuries in the accident, and Alpesh sustained injuries to his right hand.
Alpesh said that a team of Nadiad Rural police patrolling the area reached there and sent Sunil to Nadiad Civil Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Alpesh stated in the FIR that Sunil drove negligently, which led to him hitting the stray cow and causing his death.
