Gandhinagar: Australian high commissioner Philip Green met chief minister
Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Wednesday. An official statement said the CM expressed Gujarat's eagerness to benefit from Australia's expertise in the sustainable use of infrastructure and sports facilities for international sporting events. The high commissioner invited a delegation to Australia to inspect the arrangements for the Olympic Games. The statement said that Deakin University, operating in GIFT City, will establish a separate ecosystem for courses such as sports science, sports research, and sports business through a centre of excellence.
Slaughterhouses to remain closed in Gujarat today
The state urban development department wrote to all municipal corporations and the commissioner of municipalities administration to shut down all slaughterhouses in the state on Thursday on the occasion of the second anniversary of the ‘Pran Prtishtha Mahotsav' of the Ram temple at Ayodhya.
Bharat Sevashram Sangha to hold Saraswati puja tomorrow
Ahmedabad: The Bharat Sevashram Sangha will hold the Saraswati puja celebration on the ashram premises at Ashram Road on Friday. Secretary of the Bharat Sevashram, Swami Ganeshananda, said that the celebration will commence at 8am and pushpanjali will be held at 9am.
