3 booked for murder bid in Paldi

Ahmedabad: Paldi police on Friday registered a case for attempted murder and trespassing against three men — identified by the victims as Dharmendra, Upendra Singh and Rahul — who allegedly barged into a house and assaulted two men, ostensibly because one of them was living with a woman. Kiran Sav, 20, filed a complaint on Friday stating that he knew Dharmendra, because he had got Sav to the city from UP for a driving job. Sav said he was at home on Friday, with his friend Ankul and Kajal, with whom he shares the house. Suddenly, the three men entered the house and began assaulting Ankul. Sav tried to rescue Ankul, but the men began assaulting him as well.As Ankul was bleeding, Sav called the police and emergency services, after which the three men fled. Kajal later told Sav that the men had attacked Ankul because she was living with him, saying they were trying to kill Ankul. Paldi police filed a complaint under Indian Penal Code Sections 307 (attempted murder), 326 (causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons) and 450 (trespass to commit offence).TNN
