Burglary attempted at bank in Mahemdavad

Ahmedabad: Mahemdavad police on Sunday registered a complaint for an attempted burglary at the town's branch of a nationalized bank on Saturday night.
Navneet Priyadarshi, 41, the manager of the Mahemdavad branch of State Bank of India (SBI), in his FIR stated that he and six others work at the Mahemdavad branch of SBI.
At about 9am on Sunday, a bank employee named Jitesh Kumar called Priyadarshi and said that someone had broken the window of the server room and damaged the grille of the cash vault.
Priyadarshi rushed to the bank and found that someone had attempted burglary at the bank, but no cash or valuables were stolen.
He said they checked CCTV footage and found that a man entered the branch after breaking the window of the server room at around 2am on Sunday. The man left at about 2.30am, the FIR states.
Priyadarshi said he informed the bank's regional office at Nadiad and later Mahemdavad police about the burglary attempt.
Mahemdavad police registered a complaint for house trespass and theft in a dwelling house under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against an unknown person.
