AHMEDABAD: Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat late on Sunday night arrested absconding-accused

On Friday night ATS Gujarat had busted the racket by arresting Umesh Rathod 25, resident of Valsad, with the biggest haul of fake currency notes worth Rs 52.25 lakh from Gundlav cross roads on Valsad highway.
Inspector Amar Palas of the ATS said they had laid a trap in Valsad based on a tip off that Rakesh is still hiding in Valsad.
"On Sunday night we raided a house in Valsad and arrested Rakesh. We are questioning him on whereabouts of Vishal, who is
the kingpin of this racket," added Palas. tnn ATS sources said Vishal runs a business of supplying saplings to locals and used to print fake currency notes of the denomination of Rs 1,000 at his house in Valsad. "We did not find Vishal at the house, nor were we able to trace the computer and the printer on which we suspect Vishal was printing currency notes," added an ATS official. ATS officials said Umesh and Rakesh are mere carriers and were promised a sum of Rs 10,000 by Vishal for one trip.
ATS SP, Himanshu Shukla said while Umesh was arrested from the spot a person named Rakesh alias Kabootar had managed to give them slip on Friday night.
