Amin tells court he fears fake encounter

Ahmedabad: An accused in fake encounter of Sohrabuddin Sheikh case, suspended DySP NK Amin told sessions court that IG (Prisons) Keshav Kumar intends to kill him in a staged encounter.
In an affidavit before court, alleging torture at the behest of the IPS officer , Amin has sought protection from court. He claimed that a sub-jailer had thrashed him on December 6 and he was not given medical treatment for four days.
In his affidavit, Amin has stated that Kumar had deliberately misplaced a crucial diary in the lion poaching case. Amin claimed that Kumar fears a departmental inquiry. To suppress him, Kumar has resorted to intimidatory tactics, said Amin's counsel VD Gajjar. Amin has stated that he has got recordings of politicians involved in the fake encounter case. Additional principal sessions judge PB Desai has kept hearing on this issue on Friday.
