Ahmedabad: Truck driver steals goods worth Rs 9.5 lakh

A truck driver allegedly made off with articles worth Rs 9.45 lakh belonging to an e-commerce website. On Wednesday, Anup Singh Dhillon, a transporter from Sanand, filed a complaint of theft against Khiluram Mali, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan.

AHMEDABAD: A truck driver allegedly made off with articles worth Rs 9.45 lakh belonging to an e-commerce website.
On Wednesday, Anup Singh Dhillon, a transporter from Sanand, filed a complaint of theft against Khiluram Mali, a resident of Bharatpur in Rajasthan.
Dhillon told police that Mali stole articles, including cellphones, laptops, computer accessories, lunch boxes, doorbells, and other household items.

“Mali loaded the goods from Manesar in Haryana. He was supposed to deliver it to a warehouse in Matoda in Ahmedabad. He reached the warehouse on September 29. When a security guard approached him, he fled after leaving the truck at the gate,” stated Dhillon in his FIR.
The security guard informed Dhillon about the incident. The 29-year-old rushed to the warehouse and found that Mali allegedly broke the seal on the truck and stole articles worth Rs 9.45 lakh.
He approached Changodar police and filed a complaint of theft against Mali, who had been in Dhillon’s employ for just a month.
