Ahmedabad: Glitch delays CISCE results of SDA school

Ahmedabad: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the Class 10 and 12 results on Thursday, but a technical glitch left around 1,200 students of Seventh Day Adventist school in Ahmedabad unable to access their results online. The issue caused concern and anxiety among students and parents, who contacted the school authorities. The school promptly reached out to the ICSE board. According to the preliminary information, the delay was caused by a technical error that prevented the results of a few schools from being uploaded on time.CISCE chairman G Immanuel did not respond to the query on why SDA school's results were not published. Despite assurances from the board that the issue would be resolved soon, students and parents remained anxious throughout the day. Many parents feared mischief behind the withholding of the results, as Immanuel had been the principal of the school and was sacked last year after the controversy over the murder of a student allegedly by a fellow schoolmate.However, on Friday afternoon, the SDA School results were uploaded, bringing relief to students and parents. Students were informed that they would be able to access their results at 11am on Saturday.ICSE Ahmedabad convenor Vinod Rao confirmed that the issue was not limited to a single school. "Three to four schools across the country, including one in Gujarat, faced this problem due to a technical glitch. The issue has now been resolved," he said.Reports suggest that similar delays were experienced by some schools in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. The board has assured that the technical issue has been fully rectified and steps will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
