Ahmedabad: AEIAT exam rescheduled to June 13 to avoid GPSC clash
Ahmedabad: The Gujarat State Examination Board has revised the examination date for candidates seeking to become assistant education inspectors. Initially slated for June 7, the exam — Assistant Education Inspectors Aptitude Test (AEIAT) — will now be conducted on June 13. The change was made after it emerged that the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) had also fixed its Class 1 and Class 2 examinations on the same day.Because of the clash, several candidates who had registered for both examinations raised concerns about being unable to attend both tests. Taking these representations into account and keeping candidates’ interests and future prospects in mind, the board decided to defer the AEIAT main examination by a week. An official notification announcing the revised schedule has been issued and shared with all authorities concerned. The board had earlier announced the results of the AEIAT aptitude test conducted for direct recruitment. Subsequently, in accordance with prescribed rules and provisions, the process to shortlist candidates for the main examination was completed. A merit list of eligible candidates was released on May 7.
The board has urged all eligible candidates to continue their preparations in line with the revised examination date. Candidates have also been advised to regularly visit the official website for updates related to exam centres, hall tickets, and any further notifications.
