Adita, Aryamann win state badminton titles

Ahmedabad: Top seed Adita Rao claimed her second consecutive title, thrashing Aishani Tiwari 21-9, 21-12 to win the Gujarat state badminton championship 2022, in Anand on Sunday. The men's crown was won by Aryamann Tandon of Ahmedabad, who beat Kutch's Adheep Gupta 21-18, 21-16. Jamnagar's Dipti Kuity and Shenan Christian of Surat emerged women's doubles champions, defeating Maitreyee Khatri of Vadodara and Tanisha Joshi of Jamnagar 21-15, 21-5. Amreli's Bhavin Jadav and Anand's Purushottam Awate defeated Rajkot's Hemendrasingh R Rajput and Vadodara's Vaibhav Parikh 21-18, 15-21, 21-19 to lift the men's doubles crown.
