Ahmedabad: Late on Thursday night Navrangpura police arrested Pruthvi Bhatt and three others for vandalizing Aam Aadmi Party's head office in Navrangpura on Wednesday. The office was vandalized by a little-known organization which identified itself as the Brahm Padkaar (a forum of Brahmins) over AAP Una president, Sangita Chapda's alleged anti-Brahmin remarks.
Earlier, members of Brahm Padkaar had demanded that AAP Gujarat leader, Kanubhai Kalsariya, and party's all-India chief Arvind Kejriwal should take action against Chapda for her remarks. AAP Gujarat spokesperson Harshil Nayak had claimed that the attack was politically motivated and that BJP was upset with the rapidly increasing popularity of AAP in Gujarat. The AAP office is barely 100 metres from Navrangpura police station. "AAP will not get frightened by such attacks. We will fight back," Nayak told TOI.
