Ahmedabad: Amraiwadi police on Saturday booked two women and a man for killing a stray puppy in Ramapeer chawl on Jogeshwari Road in the Amraiwadi area.
Deepa Joshi, 46, a Yoga trainer from Paldi area of the city, said in her FIR that accused Manju Rathod, Chirag Parmar and Deepa Prajapati had beaten the puppy to death.
Joshi said that she volunteers for rescuing animals and provide them treatment in case of injuries and health issues for which she has a network of animal lovers.
On Saturday morning, a woman from Ramapeer chawl named Chintal Vaghela called up Joshi and told her that she takes care of stray dog and feeds them. Vaghela alleged that some residents of Ramapeer chawl had beaten stray dogs in which a puppy suffered injuries.
The FIR mentioned that the accused had beaten three dogs in which the puppy suffered severe injuries and was found dead on Saturday. Joshi said that she called up a veterinary doctor who treated the two injured dogs. Joshi along with Vaghela approached Amraiwadi police and filed a complaint.
