Three of the 15 persons, who lost their vision at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation-run Nagri hospital on January 13, were on Sunday shifted to VS Hospital here after they complained of other complications like hypertension, cardiac and gastro problems.

Ahmedabad: Three of the 15 persons, who lost their vision at Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation-run Nagri hospital on January 13, were on Sunday shifted to VS Hospital here after they complained of other complications like hypertension, cardiac and gastro problems.
According to Dr Tejas Desai, superintendent of Nagri hospital, the three patients had history of hypertension, diabetes and cardiac-related problems.“Razaqbhai, Manshaben and Dipakbhai, all aged around 60, were shifted to VS,“ she said.

Desai said that one of the patients was discharged from the hospital on Saturday when his vision got restored. “Condition of others are gradually improving as they do not have the earlier symptoms like pain and burning in the eyes.Swelling in cornea has been found in many patients, while there are some patients who have swelling in retina. All of them are expected to recover in four to six months,“ she said.
As many as 15 persons lost their visions after they were given an injection for eye treatment at Nagri hospital.
