Inspector M A Singh of the Sabarmati riverfront (west) police said that Tenzin Pema, 35, who sells sweaters and other woollen products at the Tibetan market, had filed a complaint stating that some persons steal jackets from the shops.

On examining footage of 48 CCTV cameras, cops found that four men went around various stalls where they wore two to three jackets on the pretext of trying them. They then passed one or two jackets to their aides on the sly.

Police identified two accused persons, Harish Prajapati, 23, and Hitesh Patni, 22, both residents of Asarwa, said Singh adding that their two aides were on the run.
