AHMEDABAD: A string of IPS transfers were finalized by the state government on Saturday. The state home minstry has issued a list of 19 IPS officials from ADGP (Additional Director General of Police) to DIG (Deputy Inspector General) level who were shifted. Mohan Jha will be the new joint commissioner of police (traffic) of Ahmedabad.
He replaces Atul Karwal who has been appointed as Joint CP, Sector-2, Ahmedabad.
Satish Sharma is the new Joint CP, Sector-1, Ahmedabad, who replaces Jha.
The most surprising posting, according to sources, is that of Kuldeep Sharma as director of Gujarat Sheep and Wool Corporation. Sharma was awaiting posting.
HP Singh has been promoted as ADGP, Jails and GK Parmar as joint director of Anti-Corruption Bureau. Ashish Bhatia has been shifted to Ahmedabad range as IG. BD Waghela replaces Bhatia as DIG.
JK Bhatt is the new DIG, Vadodara range, AK Sharma is IG Gandhinagar range and AK Singh the new IG, Surat range. Pravin Sinha is now IG of Junagadh range. KLN Rao will be managing director of vigilance squad of GSRTC. SG Bhati has been shifted as principal of Police Training School, Vadodara
