Vet’s body found dead

FIROZABAD: A 45-year-old government veterinarian’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his Suhag Nagar house on Thursday. The deceased’s father-in-law told police that he was being hounded by extortionists for the last few days.
According to police, Rajnesh Singh was alone at home when the incident occurred. His wife Poonam, a lecturer at Inter College, was away at work, and his children were in school.Poonam said he got a call from his husband, asking her to come back home. But by the time she reached home, Rajnesh was found dead.
Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the case. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
