The deceased was identified as Pradeep Kumar (36) from Agra, who was posted in Mathura.

On Friday, his UPPCL colleagues boycotted work and staged a protest seeking justice for Kumar. They also demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore to the relatives of the victim.

Mathura SSP Shalabh Mathur said, “The body has been sent for postmortem. We are looking into all angles. An inquiry is on.”

District magistrate Sarvagya Ram Misra said that he has received a memorandum from the UPPCL employees. “We will try to fulfil the demands raised by them,” he added.
