Three including two children killed in road accident

AGRA: Three members of a family including two minor children were run over and killed after the two wheeler they were travelling on slipped and came under the wheels of speeding truck at

of Aligarh on Tuesday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred around 11:30 am when 28-year-old Neha Khan was travelling on a motorcycle with her two minor children,

(5) and Nasra (3) and brother,

Bilal Khan

towards Chharra.

Police said that the motorcycle, which Bilal was driving, slipped while he was turning the vehicle. A truck which was coming from Chharra ran over them. While Neha Khan and her children were killed, Bilal suffered minor injuries.

Local residents jammed the road for about half an hour and indulged in stone pelting when the police tried to remove them. A police personnel, constable

was injured in the stone pelting. He has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.

Station house officer, Atrauli police station, Sunil Kumar said that a case has been registered against the truck driver, who fled the scene leaving the vehicle behind. The truck has been seized by the police.
