Teen killed in monkey attack in Kasganj; 5th death in a month

Agra: A 15-year-old teenager was chased by a troop of monkeys and fell to his death from the terrace of his house in

Kasganj

district. Naman Jain, a student of class XI, had gone to the terrace of his house in Johra Vora locality late on Sunday night when he was attacked by monkeys. The boy tried to escape and fell from the terrace. He succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning.

Akhilesh Agrawal, president of local trade union, said, “Naman fell from the terrace while he was being chased by monkeys. He suffered head and spine injuries and was admitted to a local hospital. The victim was referred to Agra but died on his way to the hospital.”

This is the fifth monkey-related death in Agra zone in a month. Earlier,

attacks had led to the deaths of a 12-day-old infant, two women and a man.
