Teacher held for murdering brother over Rs 15,000

Agra: A 40-year-old primary school teacher was arrested for allegedly murdering his younger brother over a Rs 15,000 financial dispute in Barwala village, Muzaffarnagar, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred late Sunday evening when Prem Pal stabbed his brother, Krishan Pal, 30, in the chest with a vegetable-cutting knife during an argument and fled.
Based on the family's complaint, a case under Section 302 (murder) of the BNS was registered against Prem Pal. Police said that Prem Pal and his younger brother Krishan Pal often argued over family's land and income . Prem Pal, the elder brother, is a primary school teacher with a BSc in Mathematics, while Krishan Pal managed the family's farming.
SP (Rural) Aditya Bansal said, "Prem Pal has been arrested and sent to jail. The murder weapon has been recovered. Krishan Pal's body was sent for an autopsy. Further investigation is underway."
