AGRA: Ashish Yadav, two-term
Samajwadi Party MLA from Etah’s sadar constituency who had called senior SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav “a BJP agent who divided the party” a day earlier, was called a “pig” by the
Akhilesh Yadav loyalists on Tuesday.
Jogendar Singh Yadav, a strong leader from Akhilesh camp in Etah district who is also one of the contenders for a ticket from the district, said, “Only a pig could have said such a thing for one of the founding members of the party.
The Akhilesh loyalist, who is a former zila panchayat chairman, also challenged Ashish Yadav to content from the seat again and win it against him.
Seeking immediate suspension of the sitting MLA from the party for his foul language against a senior party leader, Jogendar Singh Yadav said, “I will contest the election against him and defeat him.”
Asked to react, MLA Ashish Yadav said, “The kind of abusive language Jogendar Singh Yadav is using against me, comparing me with animals, shows what kind of a person he is. He is not worthy of being a rival.”
“A disciplinary action must be taken against him, but this decision is up to CM Akhilesh Yadav,” he added.
On Monday, the MLA had criticised Ram Gopal Yadav and urged CM Akhilesh Yadav to apologies to
Mulayam Singh Yadav for dethroning him from party president’s post.
