Agra: Following the statewide crackdown on cheating menace in the ongoing UP board exams, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University has also declared that its forthcoming examinations, starting March 7, will be conducted under CCTV surveillance. Varsity officials said that a control room will be established at the camp office of vice chancellor Arvind Kumar Dixit to which the CCTV cameras will be connected.

Around 7 lakh students will take the 2017-18 main examinations conducted by the varsity. Mass cheating was recorded at 80 exam centres last year. Officials said that strict measures will be taken to ensure that each exam centre is equipped with CCTV camera.

GS Sharma, public relations officer of the university, said, “The main exams will be conducted under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. All examination centers will be connected to the central control room which will be established at the camp office of the VC. Along with a team of officials, the VC will monitor the fair conduct of exams.”
