AGRA: At a time when Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh was on the edge following the death of 22 people, including two police officers in a
bloody clash on Thursday evening, local BJP
MP Hema Malini
was busy tweeting pictures of her film shoot and hoping for its early release.
In the string of tweets the Bollywood’s dreamgirl and veteran actress prayed and hoped for an early release of her film, without revealing the name of the film.
Posing for camera while wearing maroon saree and salwar-kurta and gushing about how handy and time saving it has become with the upgraded motorized boats to reach Madh Island for shooting from mainland Mumbai, the 67-year-old MP purportedly seemed unaware and unconcerned about Mathura clashes.
But soon, her indifference was noted on
Twitter and by local TV channels, after which the actress deleted the tweets and began tweeting about
Mathura violence
and expressed her heartfelt condolence for the loss of police officers' families.
Interestingly, the BJP leader had tweeted about her film at around 11:04 am and by 11:57 am, she claimed to return from Mathura.
Soon, in a series of tweets after netizens started trolling her for her misplaced sense of priority, the MP of Mathura claimed, that she just came back from Mathura and got the news of the violence that has taken place in which policemen lost their lives.
In her later tweet, she appealed to the people of Mathura to remain calm and not get misguided by violent elements.
Meanwhile, a section of social media users raised question on the competence of Hema Malini as MP, who is more busy in shooting than doing something concrete for the district of Mathura.
