Agra: The Uttar Pradesh government may have managed to check cheating in the recently concluded UP Board class X and XII exams but copying was rampant at the undergraduate examinations in affiliated colleges of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra.

A fresh video shot at APS Degree College, Naujheel, Mathura, affiliated with Agra University, went viral in which BSc 1st year students was seen indulging in mass copying in Math paper on Saturday.

Talking to TOI, vice-chancellor of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Arvind Kumar Dixit, said that he had received information about mass copying and a flying squad team was sent there and they caught 16 students, who have been rusticated.

He added, “We are taking all efforts to ensure that examinations are free of cheating.”

He said that over 1,000 colleges of eight districts are affiliated with BR Ambedkar University.

According to information, the cheating mafia was charging Rs 3,000-4000 per student for each paper for organizing “copying” and those who paid were provided cheating material in a separate room.
