Man, 70, dies as monkeys cause balcony to collapse on him
Agra: A 70-year-old man was killed after a dilapidated balcony collapsed when a troop of monkeys jumped on it near Diwarai Gate in the old grain market area of Kurawali in Mainpuri, police said.
Ram Kishan of Pinjari village was walking through a narrow lane around 6 pm on Monday when the incident occurred. He was taken to the community health centre, where doctors declared him dead.
SDM Neeraj Trivedi, who visited the hospital, said the body was handed over to the family as they refused a postmortem.
Kishan was unmarried and lived alone. His nephews performed his last rites the same evening.
