Samar Singh and his relatives also staged a protest at the district collectorate demanding the arrest of the accused. They met senior superintendent of police (SSP) DC Dubey claiming that the investigation officer Ranjeet Yadav was hand in gloves with the accused.
Samar Singh told the SSP that the SI locked the house from outside on Tuesday forcing the kids to spend the night on the streets.
Lucky Yadav allegedly sent their kids to attend a religious function in the locality and allegedly smothered Mithelesh with a pillow. The couple had a sour relationship for a long time and Lucky had secretly married Jyoti, a nurse in his hospital.
The SSP assured the victim’s family that proper steps would be taken to ensure a fair probe in the matter.
