“Her voice was incomparable,” the MP said, adding that it’s difficult for anyone to match her level. "She was very special. Not only her singing, her voice was very sweet while talking too,” she said, adding that her demise has created a vacuum in the music industry.

Hema said that she is blessed that Lata ji sang for her. She recalled a few of her songs sung by nightingale for her — “Mere naseeb me tu hai ki nahi” from movie Naseeb and

’s super hit song — “Jab tak hai jaan.. Jaane..” and Kinara movie song — “Naam Gum Jayega”.

She tweeted, "February 6 is a dark day for us—The legend who has given us a treasure trove of lilting songs, the Nightingale of India, Lataji, has left us to continue her divine music in heaven. It is a personal loss for me as our affection and admiration for each other was mutual," Hema added.
