AGRA: Four days after 18-year-old Nisha was shot and stabbed by her parents before been thrown near canal in remote village of Etah district were arrested by Malawan police.
Afroz Khan and his wife Noorjahan, the parents of the girl were arrested on Saturday evening from Aaspur-Bagwala road. Police team recovered a country-made pistol and motor-bike used in attempt of murder of Nisha.
Superintendent of police, Swapnil Mamgain, said, “During interrogation, the couple confessed of their crime and stated, that their daughter Nisha was threatening to complaint police about her boyfriend Amir’s (24) murder, who was strangulated to death before been beaten black and blue with sticks and rods by her parents, brother and two maternal uncles on Saturday and Sunday intervening night last week.”
“Aligarh police have already arrested Nisha’s minor brother and one of the maternal uncle Hafeez.

At present only Ishiyak the other maternal uncle is absconding,” he added.
Earlier, arrested Hafeez had claimed during interrogation to Aligarh police, that on Saturday mid night, they caught Nisha’s boyfriend Amir, who was hiding in their home. The couple were down stairs with locked room, while the entire family was sleeping up stair. The infuriated family first assaulted Amir with stick and rod, later they strangulated him. They threw his body on a road.
"As part of restoring their ‘honour’, the girl’s relatives (Ishiyak, Noorjahan and Afroz) took her to Etah and tried to kill her, The girl is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital in Aligarh. She has been provided security," said police officer.
