AGRA: Police arrested three accused in the Central Bank of India, Aligarh, scam, 24 hours after
Saurabh Gupta, an associate of the former bank manager Aamarjeet Singh, surrendered before the court. Deputy superintendent of police Ashok Kumar said assistant bank manager Punit Verma was arrested on Thursday and head cashier Nina Rani on Wednesday. "As many four accused were sent to jail, efforts are on to arrest Amarjeet," Kumar added.
Amarajeet Singh, former manager of the Central Bank of India in Aligarh's Naurangabad area allegedly siphoned around Rs 3 crore of customers' money and a case has been filed against him and his associate Saurabh Gupta. Gupta surrendered before the magistrate two days back and his father has also been arrested. According to police sources, as many as 14 bank customers had filed police cases into the matter.
