Body of 3yo girl found in drain near Yamuna in Agra

Agra: A three-year-old girl’s body was found in a drain near the Yamuna riverbank road in Chhatta area of Agra district on Tuesday evening. Local police suspect the grl was murdered elsewhere and the body was dumped here.Passersby spotted the body lying in a drain near the Yamuna aarti site around 8 pm on Tuesday and alerted the authorities. Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.ACP Sheshmani Upadhyay said, “There were no visible injury marks on the body. The girl must have died a few hours before the body was discovered.”The cops have alerted nearby police stations and are scanning missing persons reports matching the child’s description. CCTV footage is also being scanned.
