AGRA: Biomedical waste continues to remain a threat for patients in the SN Medical College as it can be seen scattered around uncovered in the premises.
Even though there are boxes available to dump the biomedical waste at various places, the staff dump the uncovered biomedical waste ignoring the dangerous consequences.

One of the visiting family members said, “I have been coming to the surgery department building, as one of my relatives is admitted there. I have seen staff throw waste which attracts dogs and monkeys who roam around in the SN Medical College premises in large numbers. They end up spreading the waste from dumping grounds to nearby areas.”
Superintendent in charge at SN Medical College, Dr Ajay Agrawal, said, “Due to negligence of some staff biomedical waste can be seen lying in open. We will look into this matter. We are trying to improve the situation gradually.”
