NEW DELHI: Bhutan King's mother Her Majesty Queen Mother Tshering Yangdoen Wangchuck visited the iconic Taj Mahal on Tuesday morning.

She was accompanied by several members of the Bhutanese royal family.

During her one-and-a-half-hour tour of the magnificent monument, she engaged in extensive photography sessions with her royal companions.

Tshering Yangdoen Wangchuck also enquired about the architectural splendor of the Taj Mahal from the tour guide.

As the mother of Bhutan's king Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Tshering Yangdoen Wangchuck holds the title of Queen Mother in Bhutan.

Born on 21 June 1959, Tshering Yangdoen Wangchuck is the third wife of Bhutan's former king, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.
