In a complaint to the police, Kaushik has expressed threat to his life and demanded police security. The police have initiated an inquiry into the matter, as prima facia the letter seems to have been written and signed by the MLA, who incidentally has a track record of issuing threats to people, including police officials.

In the said letter, Rakesh Singh, had allegedly threatened Kaushik with dire consequences if he continues to pursue cases against

Radheylal Bhaiya jee

and Yogesh Bhai. The MLA had also purportedly written that he was "quite" for now becuase of the ongoing elections but would "deal" with Kaushik and SSP Aligarh, Rajesh Pandey, after "his government" is formed. The letter also warned Kaushik against going to the police or the media, .

When contacted Rajesh Pandey confirmed that SP city had been asked to conduct an inquiry and submit his report within three days.

However, the MLA has denied sending any letter to Kaushik and claimed that the letter pad and his signatures had been forged. He also claimed that he had no dispute with Kaushik and hence had no reasons to threaten him.
