campus and a convocation hall at its Khandari campus, he also inaugurated a web portal for affiliation of new colleges.

Naik

said that under his role as chancellor the varsity is undergoing rapid reformation for the past eight months following his decision to appoint Dr

Arvind Kumar Dixit

as the vice-chancellor.

Highlighting nine decades of significant contribution of Agra University in the field of higher education, he asked the university administration to work towards the target of becoming one of the top three universities in the state.

“During the first three years of me taking charge as the chancellor, I use to receive a large number of complaints related to non-declaration of results, delay in getting certificates, poor academic sessions and various other issues. Now such complaints have stopped coming in because the administration is functioning properly. The university has been awarded with B++ grade in the NAAC assessment which is a major achievement. I would like to see that Agra University becomes second identity of on the city after Taj Mahal which is the first identity.”

Naik also appreciated the varsity’s endeavors towards developing a world class infrastructure in its campus. “It is commendable that the Agra University has not taken any financial assistance either from the state government or the central government to develop the new academic building and the auditorium. The estimated cost of both the projects is around Rs 65 crore which will come from from fees provided by affiliated colleges and the students.”
