AGRA: Mathura police on Monday arrested Munna, who allegedly attacked and injured women's international powerlifting medal winner, Asma Khan Alvi, at a public place in Farah town on Thursday.

Talking to TOI, SP, Mukul Dwivedi said while the suspects had been arrested one of his other associate, also called Munna, is still absconding. He said a hunt is on for him and he is likely to be arrested soon.

Meanwhile Asma told TOI that her family had been getting threatening calls. She said someone called up her father and threatened him of dire consequences if they did not withdraw the case. She said though the calls had disturbed them, they were committed to pursuing the case.

Asma, who is presently in hospital, said she was happy to know that the police had nabbed the suspect.

Asma, a bronze medal winner in bench press category in the sub-junior level of the 2008 Asian Powerlifting Championship in Uzbekistan, suffered a fracture in the right hand after she was hit with an iron rod when she confronted a Munna for passing lewd remarks and harassing her on Thursday.
