8 students hurt in school bus accident

Agra: Eight high school students of D S Public School were injured in an accident while they were on their way to board examination centre, St Mark’s Public School, on a school bus, at Kuberpur.

The school bus, carrying 29 students of the private school, lost balance while overtaking. Shortly after the accident, the driver fled from the spot. The high school students who were all going to give their board examinations were left shocked.

According to police, seven students took their exam after getting first aid for minor injuries while one student, identified as Shreya Gupta, was taken away for medical treatment by his parents in Vijay Nagar, Agra.

Talking to TOI, Atul Sonkar, circle officer Etmadpur, said, “We are probing the incident. Appropriate action will be taken against the accused.”
