Agra: Three members of a family died and one child was critically injured after their bike rammed into a tractor-trolley in
Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar around 8.30 pm on Sunday.
The accident took place near the Jansath flyover and Gokul City, under the jurisdiction of Nai Mandi police station. They were returning to their home in Jadauda village in Mansurpur area of Muzaffarnagar district.
The deceased were identified as Sonu Singh (35), a factory worker, his wife, Radhika (30), and their 10-year-old daughter Riya. Their son, Kala (7), suffered severe injuries.
Passersby informed police after the accident. Sonu died on the spot, while the other three were taken to a local hospital. Radhika and Riya later succumbed to their injuries. Kala was referred to the district hospital.
Muzaffarnagar SSP Sanjay Verma said, "Action is being taken as per the rules."
After the post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family members.
