Agra: A 32-year-old man driving an SUV was injured after two bystanders, who had parked their bike next to them, in Aligarh's Harduaganj area allegedly shot at him. The incident took place around 8:30am on Friday after the victim honked to clear the way.
Police said one of the two opened fire and a bullet struck the SUV driver in his left arm. He was immediately taken to hospital. The victim, Rahul Chaudhary, 32, (from Aligarh), was returning home with two others, in his SUV.
Atrauli circle officer, Rajeev Dwivedi, said police received information at Harduaganj thana that some people were returning home in an SUV, and were fired upon. An FIR under BNS section 109 (attempt to murder) was registered.
A field unit went to the spot, and CCTV cameras of the surrounding areas examined. Based on the field unit's findings, doctor's report and other available evidence, three teams were set up to investigate the case.
