AGARTALA: Claiming the success of inclusive politics, Tripura chief minister Manik Saha on Monday said youths, women and potential workforce of the country have left the association of communists and Congress and joined BJP following the model of development implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As a result, CPM is now reeling under a severe crisis of youth members, the CM observed and said, “You will find only a group of old people running the show.

Youth are not with them, as they are now connecting with BJP after understanding the philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, which are translated into action by our beloved Prime Minister.”
He said earlier, people in Tripura were misguided by the communists and Congress and they were mobilised for demonstrations, rallies and squatting against the central government during the Left Front rule. The youth and working class were used to raise their voices but no action was taken to channelise them into development activities and involve them in nation-building work.
“The Left Front always speaks on self-reliance but in 25 years of rule, it made the state completely dependent on others. The youths had started depending on the government for employment and no initiative was taken for entrepreneurship. The state’s own income was reduced to a minimum and Tripura was solely dependent on the central government. In five years of BJP rule, the situation has changed,” Saha said.
