Union minister vows support for Tripura tourism
Agartala: Union minister of state for tourism and petroleum and natural gas, Suresh Gopi, assured seamless support for the development of tourism in Tripura in a review meeting here on Wednesday with state’s tourism minister Sushanta Chowdhury and other officials during his three days visit.
Gopi advised formulating a strategy for the development of spiritual and adventure tourism in Tripura, which has immense potential, and reiterated, “The rest of India needs to adopt Kerala’s successful tourism strategies.”
Addressing ongoing projects, Gopi said, “We have ongoing projects that require more funding, which I will discuss with the cabinet chief for resolution.” There are new initiatives and ideas, but the implementation requires cabinet approval, he added.
