Agartala: Chief minister
Manik Saha has emphasized his govt’s commitment to maintaining high-quality healthcare facilities during the inauguration of the Mukhyamantri Sustho Saishob Sustho Kishore Ahiyan (MSSSKA 7.0) in Dhalai district. He announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art super-speciality hospital, for which the tender process has already begun.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by Dhalai district, Saha mentioned that the govt is actively working to address these issues, with approximately 15% of the state budget allocated to the aspirational district. He elaborated on the primary goal of MSSSKA, which is to provide medical support to children and adolescents aged 0 to 19 years who are affected by diarrhoea, worm infestations, and anemia, by supplying them with necessary medications.
This year’s initiative also includes the treatment of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
