Tripura min writes to Indigo over high fares

Agartala: Tripura transport minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday wrote to state ministry of home affairs and managing director (MD) of Indigo Airlines seeking an update on the proposal of according international airport status to MBB airport and flight fare relief for the passengers from Agartala respectively.In his letter to minister of state home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, he requested the ministry to make the state govt aware of the necessary infrastructure required for upgrading the MBB Airport Agartala to an international airport. He also mentioned that the state govt had already spent Rs 3.85 crore (given to the Airport Authority of India) in advance as Viability Gap Funding.

High alert at Srinagar airport as Indigo flight receives bomb threat

Srinagar International Airport went on high alert after receiving a hoax bomb threat call for an Indigo flight from Mumbai. Security carried out a detailed search of the aircraft, which was set to depart for Delhi via Jammu. The call was later confirmed to be a hoax, not affecting flight operations.
