GUWAHATI: The ruling Left Front of Tripura on Tuesday declared its list of candidates for all the 60 seats of the assembly to which elections will be held on February 18. The senior LF partner, CPI(M) will contest in 57 seats while its partners CPI, Forward Bloc and RSP will contest in one seats each.
This assembly election will turn out to be a make-or-break battle for the Left Front, which has been in power since 1993, as a determined BJP is making all-out effort to take the reins of power in the fifth northeastern state after Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland, which also goes to poll next month.
1x1 polls

Chief minister Manik Sarkar has been re-nominated for Dhanpur seat, from where he has been winning since 1998. CPI(M) has fielded 12 new faces this time.
BJP has struck an alliance deal with the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT). The Congress continues to be in wilderness and has proposed a third front with three tribal parties.
