Tripura doctors, medical students take out protest rally, suspend work

Agartala: In a show of solidarity with Kolkata’s rape-murder victim, doctors and students of Agartala Govt Medical College staged a protest on Tuesday along with the members of the Indian Medical Association’s state unit, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee. They also suspended their work until 5 pm. Undergraduate students are also boycotting their classes, although emergency and outpatient services will continue to operate. They demanded security in all public and private hospitals in view of the sensitivity of such places and growing lack of tolerance among people.
